psychedlic poster

This is a poster made for an art expo. It has posters from rock concerts in the past. The type looks friendly and it seems hand drawn. It goes well with the picture and even the colors seem to match. The other font is smaller and has the info for the event.

moosejaw

This is a logo for a company called "Moosejaw". The letters look like they have been worn down and the "w" has moose antlers on it.Its ment to look rugged because this is a retailer for camping gear. I think the addition of the antlers is clever because it relates to the name.

poster

This is a poster for the University of Illinois. It uses color in a lot of the words and I think there is only two fonts. But They are all angled in different directions which make it playful.

supermediastore.com

This is a logo for supermediastore.com. I posted it here because it reminded me of the exercises in class in where we moved letters around for effect. The mouse in the picture makes it look like it is on top of the letters and moving them around.

coffee cup

This is a coffee cup I have and it uses both serif and sans-serif type. The font color is white on a black background. The type is on and off the ribbon. It is made to look like it is from Paris and has a modern look to it. All the words are in capital letters but are different sizes.

altoids

This is a tin altoid box that has serif font. The word "Altoids"is right in the middle of everything. I also noticed the word "new" is made to look like it is fading away from the viewer. The thing that caught my eye was the main word "Altoids". There isn't anything real special about it but I think it can be recognized by most people just because of the media.

rebel yell

My friend gave me this bottle and it is fairly new. This bottle has a lot of fonts on the front of it. The main one which says "Rebel Yell" looks like a old type of serif and has small indintations on each letter. It is all caps and has a shadow underneath it for depth. The other font I see looks like a cursive font which is made to look fancy. I think it was put there for a classical look.

logo

I think this image is very unique. It is a logo for a skateboard company in California. It looks like it uses a sans-serif and serif at the same time. If you look at the letter "i" it has a little indentation on the end of it. The letter "k" also connects the word "Lakai" with the letter "a". It it is italicized a little bit to give it more affect.

Sunkist box

I found a Sunkist box on the floor in my basement. It is a brown cardboard box that used to hold or deliver oranges. I think it was made just made for packaging and not for main selling. The letters are arranged in dark blue and are serif font. The "Sunkist" is made into the largest word on the because it is the logo of the company. It is also curved slighty. The words below it are smaller but are in bold. But the words above "Sunkist" are not because they are not as important.

skate ad

This ad was in a magazine I have and it is advertising for a company that makes skateboard trucks. It has Old English font on the top of the ad. I think it works well because it gives a superior feel to the ad and works well with the logo at the bottom of the page.
